Writing & Presenting Radio.co videos!

Hi everyone!

First of all, apologies for not updating this blog in nearly 6 months... I have absolutely no excuse, but I promise I've been writing other stuff and not gone completely awol!

Something I have been doing over the past 6 months is continuing my work on Radio.co YouTube videos! However, this work has extended from simply creating magic behind the camera, to actually presenting & writing some of the videos. I am FAR from a natural presenter, and can't help but cringe at myself whilst editing, but I thought I should probably share some of the videos I've done.

I'm quite proud of some videos, simply because they were entirely produced by myself. From the script, shooting, presenting and edit... I have got quite good at running a one man show when necessary. I'm not going to pretend for one second this is my favourite means of video production though, nothing beats teamwork! But it's a handy skill to have!

Anywho, here's some of my favourite videos solely produced by yours truly:

In terms of overall quality, I think this comparison between Google Nest and Amazon Echo is the best video I've presented. It was an absolute ball ache to plan, and the amount of b-roll needed was insane, but I think it paid off!

This was by far the hardest video I've had to present so far. Luckily, I had help from fellow videographer Jack! I tried to do it on my own, and failed massively. Never ever be afraid to ask for help, it will make your work 10x better!

You can check out the script I wrote for this video here.

I'm including this one simply because it was the first video I presented... it's also my worst by a LONG way! I was incredibly nervous, and it was about 40 degrees on the day I shot it (I'm wearing the hoodie to hide the sweat patches... thus creating more sweat!)

A very recent one . I felt very at home with this one because it was more video related than previous content.

In this video I play the small role of; 'guy in the chair'.

I feel like I finally found my groove in this one. I also feel like the quality of my b-roll has improved substantially by now.

That pretty much wraps up this blog post! If you'd like to watch more Radio.co videos, including ones with presenters who know what they're doing, click the button below!

Until next time,

Rowan
