4 Months working with Radio.co!

Hi everyone! How's it going? Are you well? Much happened in the past few months? Are you taking your vitamins?

How am I? What am I working on currently? Well, the timing of your questions is perfect as I am literally writing a blog post right now!!

(I will probably look back on this intro with despair tomorrow but hey ho, I'm feeling cooky).

Over the past 3 months, I have been working for a Radio Streaming platform called Radio.co. I have had the opportunity to work on a number of really cool projects, with many more still in the pipeline! While working for CubeCraft, I produced a few blog posts showing off some of my favorite projects, so it seemed only fitting that I do the same for Radio.co!

In total so far I have produced 23 videos for Radio.co, but don't worry I won't be posting them all in this blog post! If you'd like to see all of my Radio.co videos, head over here.

So, without further ado, here's some of my favorite work so far...

1 - Tech Reviews!

One of the most common video series I work on is the Radio.co Reviews. In these, I get to play around with some of the latest and greatest audio tech and work alongside presenter, Phil Deal. Sometimes the device we are reviewing hasn't even been announced yet which is really exciting. More recently, I got the chance to write/present our Rodecaster Pro 2 first impressions which was loads of fun. It was mildly stressful trying to pay attention to my camera work as well as remembering my lines, but it all paid off in the end!

2 - Producing the Radio & co. Podcast!

Radio & co. is a brand new podcast we launched recently. I help produce the podcast alongside the host; Lucy Rowe, who has interviewed some of radios greats for the show. This is the first podcast I have ever worked on, and it has been a huge challenge. Before working on Radio & co. I had little to no knowledge on sound editing aside from the basics needed for video editing. Now, however, I feel confident using software like Audacity and Adobe Audition.

3 - Cuedle Launch!

Last month Radio.co launched a little side project game called Cuedle. Similar to wordle, the aim of the game is to guess a number of songs with only a few seconds to listen to. To celebrate the launch of the game, myself and presenter; Jamie Ashbrook, organized a real-life version of the game in the Radio.co office. While the video is fairly rushed and rough around the edges, it was loads of fun producing a mini game show video.

4 - Social Media Re-brand!

As if history was repeating itself, upon joining Radio.co I was tasked with re-branding their social media designs. This was a task given to me upon joining CubeCraft as well back in 2020! I had great fun experimenting with the Radio.co branding and all of my designs seem to be working well so far!

5 - Running Livestreams!

Another great bit of experience I've had so far is manning the monthly Webinar's Radio.co hosts. Each one aims to educate Radio.co customers in a variety of different ways, and some can even have special guests such as WWE's Stevie Richards. Running a live stream can be intense but it's extremely rewarding when you see people enjoying themselves in the comments section (although there's a lot of angry shouting too).

6 - TikTok Growth!

This one is a bit of a work-in-progress so I might need to return to this in a future blog post! Very recently I have set my eyes on growing the Radio.co TikTok following. In my previous role at CubeCraft, I managed to gain 100,000 followers on their TikTok account in 6 months. If I could replicate even a fraction of this success at Radio.co I would be extremely happy!

That just about rounds up some of my favorite work so far!

Until next time!

Rowan.
